I don't know what this says about me or our shared cultural heritage, but the picture of the garbage plate made me salivate.

I just noticed that, in that recipe which serves 4, it calls for "40 generic butter pats".

Having gone to skool in Central NY and road-tripped to Toronto at least twice, I have eaten Nick Tahou garbage plates on multiple occasions. I can think of at least one occasion (taking my parents there) when I was sober.

(and damn, I want one now.)
