I'm not sure this makes any less sense than nominating Bolton for UN Ambassador...Or Negroponte for National Intelligence Director...not to mention the absurdity that George Bush even gets to create a post with the word "intelligence" in it!

Exactly, Sis- It seems that this administration goes out of its way to find the EXACT wrong person for the job. Let's see, we haven't really gotten along well with the UN lately, let's appoint an ambassador who thinks the UN should be disbanded! How about a key player in Iran/Contra for National Intelligence director? Wolfowitz has done such a bang up job with Iraq, lets give him a job at the World Bank... etc. etc.... sure, there are lots of "people doctors" who'd be very qualified but I guess they figure if you can give a flea bath to a kitty cat you can head up the FDA...
