Do they mean golden calves as in iconography or in the yummy smooth calves of a freshly shaved nubile young thing?

I keep trying to answer that question, but the phrase "freshly shaved nubile young thing" causes all the blood to rush out of my brain.
even if it should read "freshly shaven".
