You think your neighbor's bike is in the way?

The good news is, my new neighbor finally took our daily hints and removed his frat boy accouterments from our narrow shared hallway.

The bad news? It was to make room for...

Actually, I'd love to see a video clip of how he got that in there...

*You* would! I'd pay to see that. Because it just *suddenly appeared* last night around eleven...in the (what, seven minutes?) it took for G and I to walk the dog around the block.

And what my crappy cell phone picture doesn't show, is that only HALF of the boat is in the frame. It nearly reaches the third floor.

I gotta say I kinda like the picture, though. Sorta Escher-y. You should sell posters of it to college students.

The two across the hall...to start with.

This seems promising to me. Do not draw any conclusions until you investigate this further, I would say. How many people bring canoes into apartment houses in your neighborhood? This is an exciting event!

It seems to me that if you leave your personal property lying around in a public space, it ceases to be personal property.

Who's up for a little East River canoeing this weekend?

Mortimer: exicting, sure...but wildly impractical. Particularly for the woman downstairs, with the newborn, who must now circumnavigate a BOAT to gain entrance to her apartment.

I think jpoulos' remedy may be best. A joy ride.

"What's that? Have I seen *your* canoe? Oh dude! Sorry! It'd been in the hallway so long I totally thought you were throwing it out..."
