Okay kids...a quick recap; here are our choices thus far. What do you say we pick one and vote him/her into office? I know, crazy right? But see, if we agree to vote for JUST ONE of them instead of SPREADING OUR VOTES between the SPOILERS and those who DON'T REALLY HAVE A CHANCE IN HELL OF GETTING ELECTED... we might be able to get our country back.
Are we on the same page here? Good.

...but only if he promises to wear those cool sweatsuits. All the time.
Oooooh, and more rings. Like Mr. T amounts. ...btw, have you noticed he's sporting the 'cab calloway' hairstyle lately? I have to admit I can see the logic...band leader, world leader. Same thing.
Posted by: Kd at May 22, 2003 08:29 AMSeriously, folks. before you decide that you're going to get behind whichever dem looks most likely to win, check their voting record. Lieberman and Kerry, and probably others in this pack, voted in support of our illegal, immoral, and fattening Blitzkrieg in Iraq- Lieberman in particular was gung-ho in his ridiculous sabre-rattling. Whoever you vote for will be the person about whom you may be saying "and I voted for him/her" for at least 4 years. Until people stop being intimidated by the whole "Vote for me or you'll get someone even worse" Democrat campaign strategy, we'll get the weasels we deserve. I could go on and on about this...
Posted by: monk at May 23, 2003 11:51 AMBut I insist! Please go on about it... I think exactly what we need right now is dialogue. Lots of it. I agree that the Dem's are headed down the same tired-ass lesser of evils road, and it disgusts me. I share your fear. My concern is that anyone who has found themselves economically or philosophically disenchanted with the current 'regime' may simply throw their vote at anyone who isn't Bush or his cronies. And although I do have the personal belief that fucking anything has to be better than what we have now...trading laterally is not a solution. We have an opportunity to change the guard AND change it for the better. But we have to start making those decisions now before we are left with a megalomaniac and reactionary to choose from.
